Dogs at Knowle Farm

New for 2025, dogs are now welcome in Cow-mumble and Foxglove

We love dogs (we have a dog) but until now we had never accepted dogs in the cottages. This was mainly due to all the free range chickens, ducks, turkeys and peacock that roam around the farm. However, we know that one of the great benefits of a UK holiday compared to going abroad is the ability to take your dog with you, so for this year we have decided to welcome well-behaved dogs into two of our cottages - Foxglove and Cow-mumble.

A dog can now be added as an extra during the booking process, at a cost of £30 per week (maximum of one dog in each cottage). We will provide a doggy bed, blanket, and water bowl for them to save you packing these yourself.

south devon has many excellent dog-friendly beaches

We do still have all of our free range animals on site however and we would never want to change this, so to protect them (and in the interests of any children that might be nervous of dogs) we have to insist that dogs are kept on a short lead at all times when outside the cottage, and that owners are careful not to let them run out of the front door by mistake. We also ask that owners are diligent in picking up after them, and that the dog is never left alone in the cottage.

On that last point however, we can offer an added bonus to anyone bringing their dog to Knowle Farm - dogsitting by a qualified vet! This could be useful if you were wanting to visit a pub or restaurant one evening that doesn’t accept dogs. Please contact us in advance of your stay if you would like to organise this.

This is new for us so please do get in touch if you have any questions not covered by the above. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you and your dog to Knowle Farm soon!
